While I was doing work experience with Ashe I was also a student at Bedford College, where Ashe was refurbishing the Brundtland Building. I saw directly the impact a great new building can have.

Today I’m an Apprentice Site Supervisor at Ashe. The construction team offered me this opportunity after my work experience in 2021.

I’m developing a wide range of professional and interpersonal skills, including the processes involved in managing the relationship between Ashe, our clients and our sub-contractors.

The construction knowledge I’m gaining includes how to sequence and programme major building works, the project management of labour and materials, and the different building technologies used to create intelligent and efficient buildings.

Ashe is funding my HNC qualification and I attend college one day a week, which has really helped with growing my understanding of site supervision.

Everyone in the Ashe team is really approachable, personable and open to answering any questions. They’ve helped me to get involved in all aspects of projects and I hope I can continue to progress at Ashe into senior construction management roles.

I saw directly the impact a great new building, created by Ashe can have, because while I was doig my work experience with Ashe  I was also a student at Bedford College, where Ashe refurbished the Bruntland Building.

"I’m looking forward to being involved in other buildings that make a difference to people."
