I joined Ashe as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and have direct experience of Ashe supporting my career development. I’ve moved through the ranks over the years and am now the Business Development Director.
Being instrumental in the direction the company takes and helping to ensure the delivery of brilliant buildings is very satisfying, particularly given the wider project outcomes we need to deliver for the public sector.
We have to review our bids from multiple directions and show how we contribute to social and environmental goals as well as delivering a first-rate building.
Our commitment to these performance areas helps to ensure a high level of repeat business. So does our collaborative approach to working with all project partners.
This business encourages you to be bold and go for it but there is always someone you can talk to if needed. When I studied for my ONC, HNC and MCIOB at college, Ashe supported me financially. But on top of financial support, there was always an invaluable mentoring element.
My aim now is to help Ashe become a market leader in the delivery of sustainable buildings within the public sector realm, while also focusing on fantastic social value outcomes for all members of the communities where we work.
