Upon joining Ashe, Peter worked as part of our Maintain division, managing maintenance projects and smaller scale refurbishment schemes. Peter then join our main projects division as has completed a number of larger construction schemes since then. Peter strives for quality on every project and works hard to identify any challenges and the opportunities to resolve them effectively. Peter’s approach is methodical and rigorous and his polite and trustworthy personality secures good relationships on site. Peter’s recent Ashe Quality Award win demonstrates his eye for detail and high standards he sets for our supply chain partners. Peter’s communication ensures the success of his schemes, as a friendly but firm face on our sites providing a key contact for all parties.

Role & Responsibilities
Peter will be in full control of the construction site on a daily basis. He will control and direct his on site construction team, liaising with the client’s project manager on a daily basis. He will keep in constant communication with his designers and other members of the Ashe team to ensure he has the latest up to date construction information. He will liaise as required with statutory bodies to ensure project compliance at all levels. He will ensure the supply chain are kept abreast of the construction programme, requisitioning labour and materials when appropriate to maintain progress, formulating short term programmes to ensure planned work occurs when it should, and to assist in catching up lost time or to accommodate client variations. He will ensure that high standards with regards to health, safety and quality are maintained at all times and that other important considerations such as good neighbour and environmental issues are fully taken account of, including the implementation of the companies social value proposals for each scheme.

Memorable Achievement
Taking part as a volunteer in a trip to Romania, carrying out maintenance and building work in a children’s orphanage. It was very demanding but a life changing experience.
